Dr. Sohan Mansingh
MBChB

Dr. Mansingh grew up in Durban South Africa and graduated from the Medical University of South Africa in 2004. After completing his Internship and community service he worked in paediatrics, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine and psychiatry. He has a special interest in preventative medicine. When not working Dr. Mansingh enjoys reading, gyming and playing sports. He also enjoy listening to music and watching movies.

Dr. Juan-Marco Pretorius
BSc, MBChB

Dr. Pretorius started university in Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1994. He completed a Science degree in Genetics and Microbiology in the next three years following before going into medicine. In 2001 he obtained a MBChB degree from the university of Stellenbosch and then did two years of post graduate training in Family Practice. On completion of this he started practice in a small town in Saskatchewan and stayed there for almost 4 years. Now he works in Mission. If not working he is an avid flyfisherman, loves to ride his motorcycle, gardening and martial arts.

Dr. Peter Barnsdale
MB ChB, MRCGP

Family GP with an interest in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Barnsdale studied medicine at the University of Leicester, England. Following graduation he trained as a family physician. He became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2002 and a member of the Canadian College of Family Practitioners in 2008. Dr Barnsdale actively supports the principals of the public health care system in Canada and hopes to see it perpetuated for future generations. When not working he enjoys being father to three lively boys, running, skiing and attending church where occasionally they let him sing.

Dr. Johan Wouterloot
MD CCFP ASAM CSAM

Dr. Wouterloot grew up in Maple Ridge and graduated from UBC medical school. He interned in Palmerston North, New Zealand and joined Mission Oaks Medical Centre in 1981. He is certified in family and addiction medicine. Dr. Wouterloot works three days a week at Mission Oaks and one day in addiction medicine, including a methadone program. He lives in Mission, has been married for 30 years and has three grown children.

Dr. Farid Rahimi
MD

Dr. Rahimi graduated from the University Of Hamburg, Germany in 1993 and completed his post graduate training in Kettering General Hospital, UK. During his training he worked in pediatrics, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Before newly joining Mission Oaks Medical Centre he practiced in Hamburg, Germany and Kent, UK for many years. He is married and has two children. He enjoys reading, walking, going to gym and spending time with family. Dr. Rahim is currently taking on new patients.

Dr. Sayanthan Sabanathan
BSc., M.B.B.S., D.F.F.P.

Dr Sabanathan was born in Sri Lanka, grew up mainly in Ontario but also lived a few years in Edmonton, and some years in Malaysia. He studied Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto; then he went onto the University of West Indies to obtain his medical degree in 2002. He then completed his internship and qualified as a GP in the North West of England before returning to Canada in 2008 to settle in BC.
In his spare time Dr Sabanathan enjoys playing competitive tennis at club and regional levels.

Dr. Emily Barnsdale
MB ChB, MRCGP

Dr. Barnsdale graduated from the University of Leicester in 1996. After qualifying she worked as a GP and part time in a breast cancer screening clinic before immigrating in 2003. Since being in Canada she has had three boys and now works part time in family practice and the Abbotsford Breast Health Clinic. When not working she is usually to be found hiking, cooking and chasing around after the aforementioned boys.
